schmidtFilm

schmidtFilm takes a look behind the scenes. We develop and produce documentaries, reports, image and art films. Exciting, visually powerful and international.

For almost 20 years schmidtFilm for clever entertainment. Our films tell stories that are exciting and entertaining. They discover people and cultures, the unknown and take you beyond the obvious. Our thematic focus is on art, culture, music, current affairs, history and science. The documentaries, reports and television features take us to a wide variety of times, topics and worlds.
Accordingly, we do not only produce for German public television. Numerous documentaries have been produced in international collaborations, such as the Supersonic Award-winning documentary “Paths through the Labyrinth” about the great composer Krzysztof Penderecki or the German-Irish co-production “Irish Oranges” directed by Anna Schmidt. We have also produced numerous reports and documentaries for Dutch and Austrian television as well as for arte. Our films have taken us from the Antarctic to Dubai and China.

We also develop themes and material for cinema and television and produce art and image films. We have an excellent and reliable research department and are also happy to assist you as a location scout for eastern Germany, the Netherlands, Georgia and India.
